Sharpshooter Laser Games

Laser games are a sport loosely related to the original game of tag. While seen by some as having more relation to the sport of paintball, laser games differ mainly in the technology used, rather than the environment it is played in.

Similar to paintball, there are styles of play that lean heavily toward military simulations, and other types that are quick fire fights to determine the best player on a small field. This variation means that there's a style of laser game that can appeal to almost anyone, from military simulation fanatics, to sci-fi live action role players, to kids just having fun. How does it differ from Paintball?

The are two main differences - The Equipment and ... No Bruises.

Outdoor Laser Games are not too different on the surface from indoor laser games but quite a bit different under the surface.

Real lasers are not used due to the hazards to players and anyone within blinding range, partly because of the increased laser power required when playing outdoors and because there are no walls to block the laser from travelling miles. The range required is much greater so better optics are used, and full sunlight required improvements in both sensor and IR emitters. The sensors are on the TALON as well as on the hat worn by the players.
